We strongly agree with the World Health Organization (1948) perspective of the broader definition of ‘health’ as a “state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Therefore, we give person centred care that takes into account the needs of every individual ensuring that they receive the best quality care, enjoying optimum health, enjoying and achieving, leading meaningful lives as much as is permissible despite their disabilities or changing needs.
Through well-structured Risk Assessments, Individual Care Plans, motivated and skilled staff our aim is to ensure that independence and fulfilment are maximised for the vulnerable young people we work with.
